A graduate of Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, Pastor Hein was ordained on July 4, 1993.
Greetings in the Name of Jesus.
My name is Carlton Hein and I am the Pastor of Mount Zion Lutheran Church in Castle Rock, Colorado.
I have also pastored at St Paul Lutheran Church in Wauneta, NE; at St John Lutheran Church in Tecumseh NE; and at Mount Olive Lutheran Church in Loveland, Colorado. In addition to serving as parish pastor, I have worked as a Minister of Christian Education, and as a promoter for Lutheran Heritage Foundation (on whose behalf I also presented at an emerging Church seminar in Bangkok, Thailand). I am very passionate about faithfulness to Christ and to the Gospel – and for clear Christian teachings..
I am a native of the Pacific Northwest. The small town in which I grew up is nestled between Mount Hood, Mount St Helens, and other peaks, Camas, Washington is located on the Columbia River Gorge and where the evening colors of Portland reflect upon the water, as a cool Pacific breeze enlivens the trees and foliage. My father raised blueberries.
After graduating High School in 1980, I attended college at Concordia College Portland (with brief studies elsewhere). While at Portland, I participated in an exchange program, including ten weeks at Oak Hill College in London, and ten days behind the curtain in East Germany. I graduated from Concordia Seminary, St. Louis, and was ordained on July 4, 1993.
